The final results of the 2024 RSGB UKAC Contests are published.
Parallel Lines CG emerged victorious in the Local Club section, repeating their 2023 success.
This year, they dominated the competition, winning all six band categories to achieve a maximum score of 6000 points.
As a result, they are awarded both the Bolton Wireless Club Trophy (for overall winners) and the G6NB Trophy (for 144MHz band winners).
Individually Pete (G4CLA) secured the G4DEZ Award as the overall winner. Overall PLCG took 4 of the top 10 places and 8 of the top 20! 1st G4CLA, 6th G6HPR, 9th G8SEI, 10th G3SQQ, 11th G4HWA, 16th G0FEH, 17th G1ZAR and 19th G0NZI.
On 144MHz PL CG won all twelve sessions pushing last year’s winners, Hereford ARS into second place. For the tenth year running, the AO (Licensed Power, unlimited antenna) section was won by Pete G4CLA who won nine of the twelve sessions, scoring 8,000 points.
On 432Mhz PLCG again won all twelve sessions replicating their triumph of the preceding year. In the individual categories, Pete G4CLA has secured the top position in the Open Section.
On 50MHz PLCG won eleven out of the twelve events. Pete G4CLA won the Restricted section and Allan G6HPR came 2nd in the Low Power section.
On 70Mhz PLCG again won all twelve events and Pete G4CLA gain won the Restricted section
On 1.3Ghz PLCG took first place for the fourth consecutive year and Pete G4CLA took the Restricted section win.
On the SHF events, PLCG won by some distance, a testament to the group’s enthusiasm for all things microwave and the time members have invested in becoming QRV on these bands. PLCG has built up a formidable SHF team!
Pete G4CLA wins the G3UVR Trophy for the fifth year in succession as the overall winner in the individual results.
The team are looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in 2025!
